Diablo 4 Eases Grind In Abattoir Of Zir Endgame Event With A Patch

Diablo 4 Overhaul Massive Changes To Items And Classes Revealed

The new patch will reportedly buff Glyph XP by over 500% for higher tiers

Blizzard has eased up on Abattoir of Zir, Diablo 4’s excessively grindy new endgame challenge.

For those less familiar with hack ‘n’ slash gameplay, Abattoir of Zir stands as Diablo 4’s latest endgame dungeon event introduced with Season 2: Season of Blood. It presents a challenge where players must overcome formidable enemy hordes within a set time limit. However, Diablo 4’s persistent issue of excessive grindiness has also affected this new event. To address player complaints, Blizzard, the developer and publisher, rolled out a hotfix on December 8, focusing on resolving issues associated with Abattoir of Zir. The patch notes highlight a notable increase in Paragon Glyph experience rewards, particularly for higher difficulty tiers.

The experience boosts are truly significant. Tier 1 experience remains at 1,000, while Tier 2 experience nearly doubles to 2,800. Tier 10 sees a nearly tripled increase, reaching 11,600 experience gains. Tier 20 difficulty experiences a substantial leap from 11,900 to 65,400 experience rewards. Lastly, Tier 25 now offers an impressive 117,100 experience points, marking an increase of over 500% from the previous 17,800.

The patch notes continue on to say: “ We’ve restructured the earlier tiers of Abattoir of Zir, and the experience now begins with a difficulty close to that of Tier 90 Nightmare Dungeons. Monsters continue to rapidly scale, reaching a similar difficulty of Nightmare Dungeon Tier 100 by Tier 5, and matching the current Live difficulty tuning by Tier 10. Additionally, we’ve reduced incoming damage by up to ~20% throughout all Tiers of Abattoir of Zir.”

Overall, it appears that players who want to level up their Paragon Glyphs now have a faster way to do so without having to repeat the same event a countless number of times.
