An old enemy is making a comeback in the upcoming “Season Of The Chosen”.
The Season Of The Chosen will kick off on the 9th of February and the new story development has been revealed.
The new season was revealed in a trailer showcasing the Cabal comeback with their new empress Caiatl.
The official website had this to say about the new storyline’s direction. “With the Pyramids and Xivu Arath destabilizing the system, Empress Caiatl, leader of the Cabal and daughter of Calus, seeks an alliance. But when she demands more than Zavala can offer, negotiations collapse, and Guardians must become the tip of the spear that strikes at her growing war council.”
Season Of The Chosen will kick off on the 9th of February and conclude on the 11th of May and will allow players to immediately start two of the new seasonal Battlegrounds events with the returning Devil’s Lair and Fallen S.A.B.E.R. Strikes.
On the opening day, we can also start a quest for a new Stasis Aspect, which will allow guardians to customize their subclass a little more.
In this new season, players are able to expand their armory with no less than 25 new weapons spread across Legendary, ritual, and Exotic categories.
Among the extensive loot that we can expect with the new season pass is a new armour set, and Ticuu’s Divination Exotic bow, which “charges multiple Solar arrows that can track several targets at once.”

In the trailer we also have a teaser of a creepy looking creature that appears only briefly but looks to be a screeb, you remember those blue exploding versions of the Scorn, which were introduced to us in the Forsaken expansion.
The story seems to be leaning towards a significant return of the scorn as the Cabal forces are currently on the Tangled Shore, which is a known stomping ground of the Scorn.
In the final scene, we see a ship adrift near the Asteroid Belt (The Reef), this is of course where The Tangled Shore can be found. Those hardcore fans will already know that there is some existing lore suggesting Emporer Calus has already dispatched a Cabal Ship to capture Scorn on the Reef, which ties this all together.
In addition to this, we have the fact that in The Season Of The Hunt we got to see the Crow. He is of course a guardian version of Uldren Sov, the Awoken Prince and former leader of The Scorn. The crow doesn’t remember his former life since he was resurrected, but others do and this includes the Scorn, which are probably not happy about him fighting for the opposition.
So it seems that the plot is about to thicken and fans will be in for one hell of a ride in the new season of this iconic First-Person Shooter.
