Infinity Ward is giving a unique opportunity to the best player in the CoD universe.
Season 2 of CoD Modern Warfare is coming soon and Infinity Ward has made a way for you to be rewarded for all your efforts in the game. This comes in the form of “Ranked play”.
Naturally, the higher players rise in this new ranked mode, the more loot they’ll be showered with.
At the end of the season, iridescent rank players and those in the Top 250 leaderboard receive an animated calling card.
However, the #1 Ranked Play player gets “a special, one-of-a-kind exclusive Animated Calling Card and Emblem, which can be considered the ultimate bragging rights from Ranked Play.”
The Infinity Ward preview stated:
“Reaching Bronze and Silver Ranks awards a new Emblem while reaching any other Skill Division — including the Top 250— grants two new special Operator Skins, an Animated Emblem, and a Weapon Charm.
You can earn the other Skill Division rewards by finishing at a higher (or lower) Division in the following seasons.”
You can also use the rewards you obtain through ranked play in Warzone 2 and multiplayer.
Here is what you can earn by playing the new ranked play mode:
- 5 wins: Sticker
- 10 wins: Pro Issue Sub Machine Gun blueprint
- Additional rewards: Weapon Charm, Decal, and Loading Screen.
- 100 wins: Weapons Camo (available for all weapons)

- Rank 5: “Ranked Competitor” Operator Skin Pack (“Home” and “Away” versions for both male and female Call of Duty League (CDL) operators).

- Rank 30: Gun Screen with ranked play wins tracker.
- Rank 40: Pro Issue Combat Knife blueprint (popular competitive secondary weapon).
- Rank 50: “Ranked Veteran” operator skins (“Home” and “Away” versions for both male and female Call of Duty League (CDL) operators).

As we discussed in our previous article. In addition to new weapons, game modes, and a brand new Resurgence mode map called Ashika Island, Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 will receive loads of new playable content.
Modern Warfare 2 Season 2 will launch on the 15th of February with ranked play available as soon as it goes live.
