Ubisoft Changes Rainbow Six Quarantine Name

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Quarantine will be changed to Rainbow Six Parasite.

This news comes to us via new images that were discovered on the PlayStation Network.

Ubisoft Changes Rainbow Six Quarantine Name

During a recent earnings call, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot announced that a revised name was increasingly likely.

“It is something we are evaluating and we will see what comes in the future on that product,” he said.

We have been hearing rumours and whispers about a rebrand for a while and it seems we finally have it.

Ubisoft has not yet confirmed the news but a picture is worth a thousand words and this image was found with its file number calling it version 1.01 and refers to the image as an “initial Launch Patch.”

Another Image found was a detailed image for the Remote Play Feature, hinting that the new game will somehow work with the PlayStation Vita.

Ubisoft Changes Rainbow Six Quarantine Name

Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Quarantine is an upcoming squad-based tactical shooter and the fourteenth installment in the Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Franchise.

The game is set several years in the future and tasks a three-player team of Operators to work together and fight off the increasing threat of a technological parasite. The release date is set for sometime in 2021-2022’s fiscal year which means it will occur between April 2021 and March 2022.

There will undoubtedly be many changes in the game between now and then and the first major change seems to be the name.

Parasite will reportedly be quite a different game to Rainbow Six Siege in the way that in this new game you will be mowing down Hordes of Zombies-like enemies. We will also apparently see some familiar faces too including Vigil and Ella. Unfortunately, we haven’t been given much more information than that although this new development shows that the name will now likely be Rainbow Six Parasite.

It is a possibility that Ubisoft will release the game soon or at least announce a Beta test of some sort in the very near future.

Since the first announcement of the game it has been a highly anticipated addition to the Rainbow Six franchise and will surely be a notable one at that. It will be interesting which news comes to us next regarding this latest installment. Be sure to stay tuned as we will keep you abreast of the latest news regarding the game.
