Here are the games that you’ll get if you are an Xbox Live Gold Subscriber.
February is upon us and it is said to be the month of love and even though most of you aren’t loving 2021 so far Xbox has given us some amazing game’s to fall in love with this month.
This month we have five games on offer with a wide variety of genres to choose from.
This month we can jump into some Third-Person action with Gears 5. Lay waste to some Living-Dead in Resident Evil. Reshape the world in Dandara: Trials Of Fear Edition. Jump into your Vital Suit and enjoy a little third-person space fun with Lost Planet 2. Last but not least become Indiana Jones and explore China with your trusty whip and Pistol in Indiana Jones and the Emperor’s Tomb.
Resident Evil (1st of February to the 28th of February):
It’s the game that defined the genre. In this remastered version, join the special forces team, S.T.A.R.S., and investigate a mysterious mansion on the outskirts of Raccoon City. Stay alert because supplies are scarce, and the living dead are all around.
As Umbrella’s mutagen testing grows in scale and the virus is leaked into Raccoon City, S.T.A.R.S. officers and other characters fight through the monsters ravaging the city to investigate Umbrella’s involvement in the disaster. Raccoon City is ultimately destroyed by a nuclear missile strike initiated by the United States government to contain the viral outbreak.
An ensuing government investigation leads to Umbrella’s downfall. However, the proliferation of Umbrella’s bio-organic weapons and viruses leads to the other outbreaks across the world. The main characters continue to fight bio-terror attacks.
Dandara: Trials Of Fear Edition (16th of February to the 15th of March):
The world of Salt hangs on the brink of collapse. The citizens, once free spirits, now stand oppressed and isolated. But not all is lost, for out of this Aether of fear arises a heroine. A ray of hope. Her name is Dandara. Welcome to a unique 2D Metroidvania platformer full of mystical creatures and boundless exploration. Defy gravity as you jump across floors, walls, and ceilings alike. Discover the mysteries and secrets hidden throughout the world of Salt and its diverse array of characters. Empower Dandara for combat and survival against enemies bent on oppression.
Awaken, Dandara, to bring freedom and balance to this directionless world.
Indiana Jones and the Emperor’s Tomb (1st of February to the 15th of February):
As Indiana Jones, you’ll travel to 1935 China to prevent a powerful artifact from falling into evil hands. This globe-spanning adventure pits you against evil Nazis and the Asian underworld. It’ll take more than just a trusty whip and pistol to avoid the perils of the Emperor’s Tomb.
Indy’s latest adventure plays out in dramatic fashion thanks to new gameplay features such as brawling combat. This time, in addition to using his trademark whip and pistol, Indy can engage in fierce hand-to-hand combat against foes, many of whom are well-versed in martial arts.
Improvised weapons such as shovels, chairs, and table legs also can be used to fend off adversaries. The result is a more immersive and more Indy-like gameplay experience, set amidst spine-tingling movie-like action sequences, such as a rickshaw chase in Hong Kong and a spectacular battle atop moving gondolas in the South China Sea area.
Lost Planet 2 (16th of February to the 28th of February):
A decade has passed since the events of the first game, and the face of E.D.N. III has changed dramatically. Terraforming efforts have been successful and the ice has begun to melt, giving way to lush tropical jungles and harsh unforgiving deserts. Mankind has engaged in a civil war to take control of the precious Thermal Energy that powers weapons and vehicles on E.D.N. III and resulted in a separation into various factions.
Players will control heroes from each faction across 6 interconnected episodes, viewing the war from the perspective of each, creating a truly unique interactive experience. With this concept, players will have the opportunity to engage in the story in a much more dynamic way as plot threads evolve from different players’ perspectives.
The intense and action-packed campaign mode comes with the ability to form teams of up to 4 players online. Beyond the deep single-player and co-op modes, Lost Planet 2 is loaded with extensive multiplayer modes allowing up to 16 players to compete online, each with their own customizable avatar.
Gears 5 (1st of February to the 28th of February):
Gears 5 takes place months after the events of Gears of War 4 and focuses on Kait Diaz (Laura Bailey), an Outsider who is descended from Myrrah (Carolyn Seymour), Queen of the Locust Horde. As Kait, the player must uncover the origins of the Locust and the truth behind her family history. James Dominic “JD” Fenix (Liam McIntyre), his best friend Delmont “Del” Walker (Eugene Byrd), and JD’s father Marcus Fenix (John DiMaggio) also return.
