Aesthetics:
It’s not just an ordinary mount, it’s a ROG mount. So you can be sure that it’s not just going to be flashy but sports the well know ROG eye.
That’s not all the majority of the mount is decorated with ROG decals, adding to its visually pleasing look. Accompanied by RGB it’s a sure thing that it’s going to add some striking Aesthetics to your system.
When you take a moment to properly look at the Herculx its shape might seem off to an extent. I however found the design to be quite unique and very pleasing. A lot of thought went into this design and it just works.
Durability:
ASUS boasts about its strength and they are quite a spot on here. This thing works regardless of what GPU you choose to use it for. It offers a variety of height ranges to support almost any GPU type. Once in place and the height is set, it sits securely.
There is absolutely no sag from the GPU. The Herculx holds it in place perfectly.
User Friendly & Functionality:
It’s almost a matter of plug-and-play. It doesn’t require any tools. You merely put it in place and then use the wheel to adjust the height according to your GPU’s needs.
It’s really that simple, yet super effective. It also supports ARGB, so you can adjust and customize the colours via the armoury crate software.
MGR Gaming’s Conclusions:
It has a premium price, there is no argument here. You can get GPU mounts for half its price that do the same job. However, this is ROG and you are getting the quality you pay for.
Installation is made effortless with this one. It’s strong and very durable. It also serves as the means to be used for future cards where a lot of the cheaper mounts are limited to specific series cards. That means buy it once and it will serve you for many GPUs to come.
The 3d lighting effects are a neat addition that really adds to the visuals of the unit itself.
