Site Build & Layout:
Evetech had quite a makeover a while back. Their new and improved site is much better optimized. The new layout makes it very easy to find what you are looking for. The site is very responsive and every page loads quite effortlessly, especially given the amount of information and images present.
The site is very in your face, normally this is a bad thing. However, they found the perfect blend here showering us with images to help narrow down what we are looking for, without putting too much out there.
Once you found the product you are looking for, you will find no shortage of information on its product page. Full specification, product information, photos, and other relevant information are present. A neat feature here shows you whether the product is in stock with Evetech or not.
Site Navigation:
So much easier than before. Site navigation is really simplified now. The top bar has all the required page links to aid you. They took it one step further adding specific page links to product ranges such as Ryzen, ROG, Laptop deals, and their clearance section.
These make tracking down your desired items much easier. If you use the search function to search for specific items, there is a quick search that will pop up. This pop-up gives you a quick look at results from your search. You can flip through pages on this pop-up or choose to view all the items in the search results.
Once the entire search results load, you have a full breakdown of all products within your search query. On the top you can change the sorting and how many products display per page. The sidebar on the left has a lot of filter options to help you narrow down the exact specifications you are looking for.
Checkout & Payment:
Once you have decided on the items you wanted, we proceed to the cart where we take a final look at our choices. From here we decide on our delivery address and then the option to add insurance. Then it is on to payments.
They have a few options available, however, the option you will most likely go with is EFT to get that further discount they offer when paying with the EFT method. Note here that the instant EFT method does not apply, only the regular EFT method.
Packaging & Shipping:
In the past my items did not always get delivered packaged properly, however, I must admit that I was quite surprised with how my items came packaged. They do not have an automated system that processes your order, so once payment has been made, you will have to wait for them to manually process your order.
Once my order was processed it took a couple of hours before receiving the tracking number and confirmation that my order has been shipped. Due to my shipping address not being in a Main City, my order can take an extra day to deliver, especially since not all couriers have branches in every city.
However to my surprise my order was delivered within two days after being shipped. Items arrived with their boxes intact and with no tears or damages.
MGR Gaming’s Conclusions:
I’ll be honest, I did not want to be the one to do this one. In the past, I have not had a single good experience dealing with Evetech or the staff. Whether it was the atrocious email correspondence or the terrible customer care when phoning them.
Up and until this point I did not have anything good to say about the terrible experience. However, rumours spread a while back that Evetech has been putting in the effort to change their public perception, improving their communication and customer care.
That being said, it makes me the best person to do this one. I have had a rather good experience this time around. The information I required was easily accessible, and the entire process much swifter. Last but not least, the delivery was much better this time around.
If they keep this up, I will definitely be making use of them again in the future.
