Aesthetics:
This one is so much more than just an ordinary cooler. It has style, power, and beauty. Fully compatible with RGB managers such as Mystic Light. You can set the colour behaviour in any way you wish.
The water block itself features the ROG eye that is also RGB to add that extra oomph to your setup. Cable management was made easier with this one. Ample cable length as well as extension cables to lessen the number of cables on either side of the tower.
Installation:
Installation is rather simple, whether it is your first AIO installation or not. The LC360 fits almost any socket type, in a rather simplistic way. There aren’t dozens of pieces to try and sift through. They made the installation process so much easier.
Depending on your CPU Socket type, you will merely choose the pieces you need and start assembling. The Radiator is a 360, so it can either fit at the top of your tower or in the front. Installation here is as simple as can be. Install fans onto the radiator and then the radiator onto your tower.
Twenty-four screws in total here. Then it is merely a matter of installing the water block onto the CPU. Depending on your socket type again, it will be merely a matter of changing brackets and then screwing the water block onto the bracket. The heat sink comes with thermal paste pre-applied making it that much easier and less messy.
On the cable side of things, there are neat extension cables that make management so much easier, Simple use them to connect all your fan’s cables to the extension and then connect the extension’s power cable to your motherboard.
Durability:
ASUS has a good reputation when it comes to durable and good quality products. The ROG Strix brand is no different. Everything single piece in this AIO was made of high-quality components.
The additional length on cables means less pull on the radiator and water block after installation, which means the chances of a tear or rupture is less than likely. Upon closer inspection of all the components, you can clearly see that the entire unit was put together properly.
The sleeved rubber tube which in most cases is the most important part, liquid and electric components do not go together well, was designed and assembled remarkably well.
I have never purchased an AIO cooler whose radiator fins were without flaws, there are always fins that seem to be not perfect. However, with the LC 360, I must admit that I was surprised to see minimal bent fins.
Putting it frankly, there isn’t a single component I can fault here for looking even slightly on the cheap. Whether it is the fan’s material or the screws. They really did a great job here.
Performance:
This LC360 has been installed into a system running an AMD Ryzen 9 3900x CPU.
This LC360 is in a class of its own. It does a marvelous job of cooling down the CPU. Whether your PC is just idling or running max settings in your favourite game. Overheating will be a thing of the past here.
We used CPUID HW Monitor and Ryzen Master to test this beauty out.
The noise level on these is not that bad either. If they sound too hard for your tastes, all I can say is it is a small price to pay for this type of performance.
We decided to take Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 for a test drive at Ultra settings. There was barely a rise in temps.
MGR Gaming’s Conclusions:
No matter how you look at it, this one is more than worth its price tag. If you stay in a region where it is warmer than the average city, then you know the struggle with CPU heating. The LC360 will make all those worries a thing of the past.
Priced very well for what you get, this is a cooler that anyone can make use of. Whether you’re an average gamer or an avid overclocker, the cooler will be a great companion for your system.
The only issue I have found to date is that you cannot set the water blocks RGB using any software other than that of ASUS.
