Gameplay & Controls:

Where to start…

Every aspect of gameplay is simply stunning, fun and damn entertaining, Do note that once you start this gem, there is no turning back; you will lose yourself in this Capital Wasteland.

This is not your typical RPG, it is unlike anything else you’ve experienced before, this includes previous Fallout titles and that is not a bad thing, previous titles were amazing in their own rights but what Bethesda Game Studios did here is simply amazing, they kept the lore and inner workings and gave us a simply outstanding open world RPG that gives you every bit of freedom, choice and opportunity you could want.

Boom
That is how i roll…

Scavenge, scrounge, barter or steal what you want, whether it is medicine, drugs, ammo or weapons, the choice is yours, be the ultimate force of goodness, or the scourge of the wasteland, or ignore it all and leave everyone to their own devices.

You can customize your character to your exact wants, giving you that personal attachment that makes an RPG even better. The S.P.E.C.I.A.L system is new and gives you more freedom on personally customizing your character.

Explore and engage in interactive conversations like never before. The world is truly vast and open to you, there is no story progression locks or anything, and the game is filled with monsters, people and creatures, some friendly some not so much.

Bomb
Choices choices…

There are tons to do and tons to find…

The game has partial controller support for PC, but can be played completely with the keyboard and mouse, shortcut keys are also available for those that prefer to set up their own uses.

Graphics:

Absolutely jaw droppingly gorgeous, the HD visuals are stunningly done. Facial features are clearly visible, facial expressions can be seen, they have gone above and beyond to deliver a beautiful title to us. Whether it is a Wasteland hottie you are looking at, or the rotten flesh from a ghoul, the rendering is beautifully done.

Damn
This could get ugly!

The same can be said for the Wasteland itself, the terrain, obstacles and buildings have all been beautifully created for us, and the rendering improves the visuals of everything like never before.

All in all, this is one stunningly beautiful game, whether it is the dead grass or the vile monsters you face off against, everything has been beautifully created for us.

Sounds:

Pure entertainment, it enhances the overall gameplay tenfold, whether you are in the thick of it with enemies all around you or are scavenging some parts and other goodies, the sound does not disappoint, it makes every experience unique and more fun.

Dolls
Got to collect them all!

Character voice overs have been thoroughly done to give each NPC their own unique voice, and personality, coupling this with the improved AI simulations really enhances the overall quality of each individual you meet and engage in.

Replayability:

The game is massive, and will take you dozens of hours to fully explore. There is some form of choices in the game; you get to be the ultimate good, or the absolute worst…

If those don’t suit you, you can stay neutral…

Home
Home is where you stash the extra loot!

So, if you do wish to replay the game you can do it with a different outcome, but chances are you will invest more hours into one playthrough first to fully max out your character and fully equip yourself with the best that this Wasteland has to offer.

MGR Gaming’s Conclusions:
Spoilers ahead:

At first it seemed like Fallout 3 was too different from its predecessors, and some may dislike it but if you give the game a chance you won’t learn to love it, you won’t be able to stop yourself from falling in love with it.

House
Things sure changed a lot…

This game offers you a full ride of beautiful visuals, an amazing story line, dozens of side quests and so much room to explore that your little house is almost not enough to house all your treasure in.

This is really one amazing sequel and the start to something beautiful; every aspect of this game is fun and entertaining, they have outdone themselves here and to us that is an enormous bonus, we get to experience an insanely amazing game.
