Gameplay & Controls:
The game is played comfortably on either keyboard and mouse or controller; It comes down to personal preference. The keyboard and Mouse layout have remapping features to fully customize how the layout works for you. On PC there is only partial controller support but the game does not have a great many buttons that need pushing so it does work out in the players favour here.
What we have with Lords of the Fallen is a Dark Fantasy based RPG that takes after Dark Souls in several aspects, but in the end, this is a game in its own right and should be judged for what it is.
You take on the mantle of Harkyn, a sinner and outcast in this world; a world where no sin can ever be forgotten. The Rhogar, a Demonic Legion has made its return to earth in search of souls. This is where you come in, in this Action-packed hack and slash marvel. As you go about demolishing this Demonic horde you will build up a wealth of experience to customize and enhance your character. An arsenal of loot can be found to help you against these towering Horde’s from common pieces of gear to the oh so shiny Legendries….
You won’t just be facing off against mere foot soldiers, but Lords in all await you… Who will immerge victorious?
Graphics:
Beautiful and captivating… You traverse various environments, above and below ground all the way to a different dimension… Each of these locations have been beautifully created to offer you a very eerie look and feel. A perfect combination that thoroughly enhances what a Dark Fantasy offers.
Character models were given a great deal of attention to ensure that they don’t just appear unique and different, but so that their actions and behaviours are unique as well. This is a feature that is properly implemented where the Rhogar is concerned, the Rhogar from the same species might not have a difference but different Species have a wide range of differences.
The game shadows work wonders here, casting eerie visuals where you don’t need them and hiding hidden enemies beautifully for quick strikes…
We have a full range of settings to fully customize how this game runs and can run on our system.
Sounds:
Stunning, this game is meant to be played with volume levels that can clearly be heard… Whether this is earphones or speakers. The game has a gorgeous soundtrack to it, that ensures every nook and cranny you explore is filled with sounds to accompany your thoughts and fears for when the enemy will suddenly jump out and attack. It does this brilliantly adding a very unique sense of alertness to the game which is perfect for what the game is about, especially with our unique combat mechanics.
There is not a lot of vocals in the game. When it comes to the ones that we do have, a marvelous job has been done to capture the emotion of each situation perfectly to add to the scene and setting of the game events.
We do have full control of the volume and other sounds that can also be found under the settings tab.
Replayability:
Lords of the Fallen has had chatter regarding possible Multiplayer but at this stage it is pure speculations and rumours.
Where Singleplayer is concerned, you finish the game and start a New Game + so that will keep you busy for a while longer.

Lords of the Fallen can easily be seen as a poor attempt at a copy from the Souls franchise, however, if you invest a bit of time into the game you will find that it has its own great story that is very entertaining and quite rewarding as you progress through the game. The game offers different endings, so you can make use of your New Game + modes to enjoy every bit of what this game has to add.
The game was given a lot of effort and the developers created something very beautiful here, the game world is sizeable and the gameplay quite fun. The difficulty that the game offers should be difficult for new comers but if you mastered every related Souls game to date then you are more than prepared for this one.
The developers did let quite a lot of potential go to waste here; this world could have done with more side quests and even a bit more to do in each playthrough; as it stands it is a bit thin and a let-down to some extent.
