Resident Evil 7 Biohazard End of Zoe Review

It’s not over yet…

Please note that this Review may contain spoilers from the Base game

Some key points that this game add on has to offer:

  1. New Game Mode
  2. New Fighting Mechanics
  3. New Game Mechanics

Replayability:

Similar to that of previous DLC’s; End of Zoe is an additional Game mode for you to play. However, it is quite different than the previous DLC’s or base game itself.

You play as Joe, Jack’s brother who happened across Zoe as she turned to crystal in the middle of the swamps. From there, things start getting hairy as Joe sets out searching for a cure for Zoe. The game mode features starting difficulties and then the ultimate difficulty Joe Must Die which you unlock after completing it once.

What
What is that?

Replaying the game mode on a previous completed difficulty allows you to take on challenges during your next playthrough. The rewards for completing these will make your next playthrough that much easier.

MGR Gaming’s Conclusions:

The end is finally here and nightmare finally seems to be at an end…, for these people at least. We left Zoe alone on the docks back in the main campaign after a rather bitter goodbye… We never saw her again, but now we can finally witness Ethan keeping his promise…

Now
Now we’re talking…

The new game is a totally new concept, we play as Zoe’s uncle Joe, who has no qualms punching stuff, even when they are mutated Molded. We set off through the swamp lands punching everything that gets in our way in search of a cure to heal Zoe. The new recipes and weapon types are a fresh take on the game and fits in nicely with the rough cut uncle…

The best part of this DLC is the light at the end of the tunnel where some good came out of all this madness… The Baker family is all but decimated and they will never be the same again. The story for RE7 was brilliantly written and to have experienced it thus far has been an unforgettable experience.
