Resident Evil Revelations Re-Mastered HD Review

Even without a Remaster, this one will always deserve a replay!

Please note that this Review may contain spoilers from the Original game

Some key points that this Remaster offers:

  1. Improved visuals
  2. New difficulty mode
  3. New enemy type
  4. Improved Raid Mode

Re-Mastered HD:

There are quite a few improvements under the code of this game. The visuals were properly updated to match current-gen games. Textures and character models were updated as well. Back then the models of both characters and the monsters looked great. They look just as great now, the character models are very pleasing to look at and the monsters are completely hideous and monstrous, the perfect blend for any RE game.

That
That didn’t end well…

Lighting effects were also updated along with the rendering of the game itself. Textures and objects are beautiful. The sound has also been enhanced adding to the immersion. A brand new difficulty has joined the game, Infernal Mode. The ultimate experience awaits you, with item and enemy placement remixed to offer a fresh and thrilling experience. Let us not forget the upscaled challenge that this difficulty offers. Resident evil dot net support is also available for Revelations.

Raid mode has been enhanced and thoroughly improved with numerous new additions; such as new weapons and skill sets.

MGR Gaming’s Conclusions:

I loved this game when it was released back then on the 3DS, it was breath-taking, it was new and it was almost everything I wanted in a RE game. Revelations came close to what we had back in the good old days. The new Re-Mastered HD does a great job bringing all those fond memories and nostalgia back again.

They lightly touched the game up here and there to stick to the original but making it appealing on more current gen titles. This blend was executed flawlessly. Without altering the main campaign, they still managed to add more to the game by improving the Raid mode.

If you never took the plunge and gave this game a try, then now is the perfect time. This is a full on Resident Evil experience that awaits you.
