MGR Gaming’s Conclusions:
Strip the Flesh! Salt the Wound!
Borderlands 2 – Psycho Pack adds Krieg as a playable character, a resident of Pandora itself, one of its psychos. As you play with Krieg you get a deeper insight into who he is, why he’s psycho and one can almost say a reason behind it. Krieg has a constant battle with himself, he has an inner voice, you can almost say that is the person who he used to be, before Pandora took over and made him the psycho he is now. This voice has thus far managed to limit and direct Krieg’s lust for murder to those deserving of punishment.
Just like what we have with the original four vault Hunters and Gaige from the Mechromancer Pack, Krieg has a number of custom heads and skins so that you can outfit your psycho to your heart’s content before you start painting that wasteland red.
Krieg has three skill Trees you can choose from to build your perfect Psycho:
Bloodlust; This skill focuses on ranged combat and Bloodlust stacks which you build up as you engage and kill enemies, the more stacks you have the more powerful the skills in the bloodlust tree become. A very notable skill here is Taste for blood, while using your special ability Buzz Axe Rampage, every kill within this mode adds ten blood stacks to your counter. The ranks and number of your bloodlust stacks increases the potency of your skills and abilities once unlocked inside this skill tree such as Blood Trance which increases the duration of Buzz Axe Rampage.
Mania; This skill focuses on melee combat and health control mechanics: At first this skill tree might seem strange and very unwelcoming but as you play and experience the options and possibilities that this one has to offer, you will realize, that with the high risks come high rewards as well. Another unique skill within this tree is Light the fuse which replaces Fight for your Life, Instead you pull out some dynamite and getting with the explosion from said dynamite gives you 40% bonus to movement speed for the remainder of the time that was left in Light the Fuse, this and so much more await you here.
Hellborn; It’s all about the elements including setting yourself on fire… Yeah you heard right. It may seem very counterproductive setting yourself on fire which does damage you, but the passive perks for being on fire is remarkably useful such as damage reduction. With the Elemental Elation skills unlocked you build up stacks of Elemental Elation and each stack increases your fire rate along with magazine sizes. This is not all, this skill tree offers a whole bag of goodies you get to use against your fellow Pandorian bandits.
When it comes down to the numbers its always awesome to have a new character to use, especially when it’s one with such a strange yet deep back story, filled with insanity, mystery and empathy, the Dhal corporation really screw these people over…
