If you thought the original was perfect, then be prepared to have your mind blown…
Please note that this Review may contain spoilers from the Original game
Some key points that this Enhanced Edition offers:
- Dialogues and cutscenes have been redone with more than 5000 rewritten and re-recorded lines.
- More than 200 new gesture animations.
- New inventory system with a sack just for ingredients.
- A Span of technical improvements to improve loading times, and game stability.

Enhanced Edition:
The Witcher hit us like no other title, every aspect of the game was new and simply amazing to experience, there was so much to explore, find and try out. The game offered us dozens and dozens of pure fun gaming hours, whether we were grinding out levels or farming ingredients to stock up on potions, the game simply had us captivated.
Like most titles it had some issues that got patched out in updates, but at the heart of it there was one issue that troubled most Witcher’s; The Inventory space, we simply never had enough, and barely a year later CD Project Red has graced us with the Enhanced Editions, delivering not only that but a span of improvements and updates that can only be appreciated if you were to go and re-experience the entire game… that is how much they have updated, fixed and added to this gem.

Settings have been added to turn auto save off for those that wish it, loading times of the game areas have been greatly improved, the same with the inventory screen, improvements can be seen here as well. Combat responses have also been updated to give us a more fluid experience.
The function to not only store all our alchemy ingredients in their own sack but to also sort and stack our inventory is a really great add on.

There are so many dialogue and cut scene updates that one simply can’t go and count them, it is like they almost went and rewrote every line for every occurrence in the game, the character behaviours in dialogue scenes are now even greater than before, adding to that already realistic essence that the game delivers.
Enhanced Edition contents:
- The Witcher Base Game
- An interactive comic book
- D’jinni Adventure Editor
- Two new adventures offering 5+ hours of gameplay
- Official Soundtrack
- “Music Inspired by The Witcher” album
- “Making of” videos
- Official Game Guide
- Two maps of The Witcher’s world

MGR Gaming’s Conclusions:
The Witcher Enhanced Edition truly delivers, every aspect that we as gamers wanted improved and bettered has been given a total overhaul, and the game now runs smoother, more fluid and better than ever.

There are so many other additions to the game that it is simply impossible to name them all, to truly experience the changes and improvements that The Witcher Enhanced Edition offers is to simply go and replay the entire game, that is how much has been improved.
Let’s face it; The Witcher is truly an amazing game that can be replayed; now you just have more of a reason to get to it…
