Gameplay & Controls:

We thought this day would never arrive; a sequel to an amazing first game… Dawn of War, how we Burned those Heretics.  Warhammer 40, 000: Dawn of war II yet again changed how the game is played, this time changing it to a more tactical RTS. There is no longer building involved in the gameplay, you get drop podded into each battle with your chosen squad and then proceed to eliminate threats on the field. Do not think for one second that the game is limited now; it is a great step up in gameplay and tactics, and strategic planning…

Blood
The Blood Ravens!

The game can be played entirely with the mouse using the Left Click and Right Click Mouse Buttons, numerous keyboard shortcuts exist to make things easier and more enjoyable for those that prefer the use.

Graphics:

Warhammer 40, 000: Dawn of war II uses the Next Generation RTS Engine, the Essence Engine 2.0 so you can expect beautiful visuals throughout the entire game. Character art and details are gorgeously done, all elements of each character are clearly visible for your enjoyment. Weapons and armour designs and displays look impeccable, instruments truly worthy of the Emperors Space Marines.

Level designs are another simply spectacular creation with each level beautifully drawn to depict its own uniqueness, clearly showcasing the different regions on a planet and the different biomes on different planets, a lot of attention, care and detail went into creating these.

Boss
Their big, bad and ugly!

The perfect battle grounds filled with Xeno and Mutant scum….

On the settings side of things there are numerous options and choices to customize your game experience.

Sounds:

Simply spectacular, every sound, syllable and note has been beautifully crafted and placed gorgeously to increase an already amazing game, from the moment you drop down into battle the background music starts preparing you for the fight to come.

Green

Your Squads pop up comments every now and then that gives a lively feel to each drop making the experience all that more real and enjoyable. The music sets a nice slow to fast paced tone to the game, as the drama increases so does the music, truly a wondrous thing to experience as the Unclean are Purged…

Replayability:

Warhammer 40, 000: Dawn of war II offers a Non- Linear campaign mode with numerous difficulty levels to put your skills to the test and with that comes a Co-Op mode to take a buddy into the Campaign with you…

In

Then there is multiplayer where you and up to two others can take on another team of three players in a variety of game modes pitting your skills against one another to see who is the best.

Spoilers Ahead:

Warhammer 40, 000: Dawn of war II is an amazing sequel to an amazing series, the new story lines take place after the events of the previous titles such as Warhammer 40, 000: Soultstorm, thus all that happened in four earlier games becoming cannon history.
