Capcom has confirmed that more Resident Evil games will be remade

Capcom has confirmed that more Resident Evil games will be remade, but has not revealed which ones. Capcom’s Yasuhiro Ampo was asked at a PlayStation partner awards event in Japan if more Resident Evil games would be remade in the same vein as Resident Evil 2, 3, and 4.

“Yes, we’ve released three remakes so far and they have all been received very well,” he said. “Since it allows a modern audience to play these games, it is something I am happy to do as someone that loves these older games, and we want to continue doing more.”

“What game we will remake in the future is something that we would like to announce in the future, so please look forward to it.” Ampo continued. He also stated that there is no way to predict whether a remake will be well-received by critics, but that player feedback and opinions have been important in developing them.

While we don’t know which Resident Evil game Capcom will remake next, some possibilities include Code Veronica, the original Resident Evil, Resident Evil 0, and Resident Evil 5.
