Grubb clarified that while it is set in the Titanfall universe, it should not be considered a direct sequel with both online multiplayer and a single-player campaign. Despite this distinction, the project has progressed beyond the early prototyping phase and is now considered a “real project,” although it is still in the prototype stage.
This news comes after Fukuda was revealed to be heading a “skunkworks” team working on “something new” back in 2023.
