This summer, expect to see more of Monster Hunter Wilds
Capcom has stated when further information about Monster Hunter Wilds will be released. Capcom made headlines this month at The Game Awards when it revealed Wilds with an early teaser trailer and then confirmed a 2025 release date. Finer information about the sequel to Monster Hunter World has yet to be revealed, but Capcom has now given eager fans a better idea of when the title will be shown off in greater depth.
Capcom producer Ryozo Tsujimoto notified fans in a new social media video that the next presentation for Monster Hunter Wilds will take place this summer. Tsujimoto did not specify which month fans should mark on their calendars, but Capcom has always chosen to disclose new game details in June, which is when E3 used to take place. Even if E3 does not take place in 2024, it appears likely that Capcom will release further information regarding Monster Hunter Wilds within this time frame.
“Thank you so much to all the fans for your support and excitement,” Tsujimoto said in the response they received for Monster Hunter Wilds reveal. “The Monster Hunter Wilds team is deep in development and working diligently toward release in 2025. The next announcement for the game is planned for Summer 2024, so we hope you look forward to it.”
For the time being, it’s unclear how Capcom plans to expand on what was seen in Monster Hunter World Wilds. According to the first trailer, many of the gameplay elements from World to Wilds will be retained, along with some new mechanics. What is certain is that Wilds is being developed exclusively for current-generation platforms, which means that when it launches in 2025, it will only be available on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
