Palworld Surpasses 2 Million Concurrent Players on Steam: A Landmark Achievement as the Second Game in Steam’s History to Reach This Milestone
Palworld, the survival game by Pocketpair, has achieved a significant milestone by surpassing 2 million concurrent players on Steam, solidifying its position as only the second game in Steam’s history to accomplish this feat. According to SteamDB, Palworld’s concurrent player record currently stands at 2,018,905, placing it in elite company alongside Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG).
While PUBG holds the top spot with an all-time concurrent player record of just over 3.2 million, Palworld’s achievement as the second-ever game to exceed 2 million players on Steam is noteworthy. The game had previously surpassed 1.8 million players, securing its place as the second-highest on the all-time Steam concurrent players list, surpassing Valve’s Counter-Strike 2.
Palworld’s success in early access is accompanied by insights from the studio’s CEO, indicating that the game is approximately “60% complete” in its current state. This provides players with a tangible preview of what to expect in the game’s eventual 1.0 launch. The recently unveiled Palworld roadmap has also generated anticipation, promising future additions such as PvP, cross-play, building improvements, and more.
As Palworld continues to captivate a massive player base, its achievements in concurrent players reflect the game’s popularity and the community’s engagement. The roadmap outlines exciting updates that will further enhance the gaming experience, signaling a promising trajectory for Palworld’s evolution and continued success on the Steam platform.
