Rocket League has been growing in popularity since its release in 2015 and it has now been confirmed that fans will be able to play this Iconic game for free in the coming months.

What does this mean for fans, well the core gameplay will remain the same, but Psyonix will be refining main menus to make exploring the game a lot easier and they will also be revamping and improving major features. These features include Tournaments, challenges, and introducing cross-platform progression. They have also announced that Rocket League will be released on the Epic Games Store.

For those who aren’t familiar with the game. Rocket League is the sequel to Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars. Rocket League has up to eight players assigned to each of the two teams, using Rocket-powered vehicles to hit a ball into their opponent’s goal and score points over the course of a match.

Once the game goes free to play users who already own Rocket League on any platform (including Steam) will be able to play with full support for future updates and features. Unfortunately, though the Steam version is no longer available for download to new players.
