F.E.A.R. 2: Reborn Review

There truly is no end to this Nightmare!

Please note that this Review may contain spoilers from the Base game

Some key points that this game add on has to offer:

  1. Four new singleplayer levels.
  2. Play as one of the Replica soldiers.
  3. Test drive Power Armor.
Boom
A pretty but lethal view!

Replayability:

This DLC adds onto the base game of F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin. It shares the same replay value as the Base game.

Alma
The source of so much!

MGR Gaming’s Conclusions:

F.E.A.R. 2: Reborn gives you the opportunity to experience the events of what transpired in the original game from a different perspective. You take on the mantle of Foxtrot 813, one of the Replica soldiers. Shortly after arriving in a kick ass Power Armor Suit to offer back up to your squad you start hearing a voice. The voice of none other than Paxton Fettel, shortly after this little introduction, you are given a new mission…

Bodies
Dead bodies everywhere…

As you set out on this new mission you will encounter several enemies, new and old; Alma herself is out to stop you and to do this, she sets her critters on you. The Replica forces themselves also have a shoot to kill order out on you. As is custom you are alone, and Fear is available in full quantities, how you handle it will determine whether you will be able to get through to the epicentre of Point Mans Nuclear Firework show…

Reborn is a decent little add on that allows us to experience all of the FEAR from a completely new perspective, there are new environments to explore, a new mini story line and fun times to be had for sure. Reborn however, lacks some creativity; the story line could have been polished a bit more and as for the ending, it kind of ends quite uneventfully. Level design also lacked some serious inspiration, they had good concepts and ideas, it just feels like it fell short a bit. The AI also felt a bit dumbed down than before…

Enemy
New enemies to play with…

The Mech suit was a nice add on that really gave you some stopping power.
When it comes down to the number, this is a solid F.E.A.R. add on!
